NEWS / East Mediterranean-2008
During July-August, 2008 employees of the “Scientific-Industrial Enterprise “MARINERUS” have worked, have organized and have carried out a scientifically-forwarding campaign “East Mediterranean-2008”, devoted to the experimental analysis of influence of casual conditions of reception of signals in information channels ship transponders the automated identification systems in coastal sea areas of east part of Mediterranean sea. Now steadfast attention of the broad audience of experts opportunities of monitoring and management cause all of accruing intensity of movement of boats and yachts by means of the modern Automated control system of movement small sized fleet (ACS SSV), in general, and one of the major making information subsystems - the Automated Identification System (AIS). Though in the domestic and foreign scientific and technical and periodic (publicist) literature these questions to a certain extent were already shined, however, they all still remain appreciably opened, demanding in-depth studies and discussions. The purpose of the present expedition was the analysis on the basis of experimental data of an opportunity of monitoring and a management efficiency small and “Mega-small sized” fleet by means of AIS in coastal sea areas of east part of Mediterranean sea. For needs small size fleet subsystem AIS presented by technologies AIS-1 and AIS-2 was investigated.
The first stage within the limits of monitoring was actions on exercising in coordinated operations with Control service of movement of fleet in a zone of responsibility VTS Limassol (Southern Cyprus). So high level of was organized, in many respects, owing to consulate of Republic Cyprus in St.-Petersburg. The Cyprian researches have shown, that introduction of management information system SSV demands local updating, but as a whole, monitoring of small ships is the effective monitoring system of moving of walking fleet. The second stage of practical researches was actions in area of Southern coast of Turkey where others have been involved also large-capacity and small vessels. On them was, also, experimental equipment AIS is established and geographical coordinates are fixed. One of the major reached factors of researches was an estimation of efficiency of transfer of differential amendments for precision monitoring and management of mega-yachts expressed by the measured quantitative data. As follows from the received diagrams, quality of a signal and quantity GPS of the satellites necessary for definition of a site satisfies to needs of the exact positioning described with comparative divergence GPS of a signal through AIS and is direct on GPS to root-mean-square errors not exceeding 1-2m. Also, summary experimental data-statistical on considered area of east part of Mediterranean Sea for various types AIS transponders have been collected.

As to distances inside of this zone positioning on all ranges of range here is possible, down to 0.05 miles. At the same time, comparison with theoretical result testifies that radius of practically achievable AIS zone approximately twice less potentially achievable. It is possible to explain similar circumstance to that the potential zone considers only fluctuation noise in an information channel and does not consider stochastic factors due to movement ship transponders concerning base station and influence of a coastal blocking relief. The quantitative account of such factors and comparison to data of experiment will make a subject of independent research. Thus, how have shown researches, application information AIS technologies in structure of the block diagram-logic of ACS SSV allows to define with enough high accuracy a site of courts small sized and “Mega-small sized” fleet in extensive coastal sea areas. Next stages of practical researches it is planned to lead in the summer of 2009 in area of east Mediterranean (Syria, Lebanon) - a zone raised refraction anomalies and region of hyperactivity “Luxury” walking fleet - water areas of island Sardinia. |
